    Parkinson’s ACT and Belconnen Arts Centre present the first ever weekly dance program in the ACT specifically designed for People with Parkinson’s.

Belconnen Arts Centre – the centre of arts and cultural activity in the Belconnen Region

Belconnen Arts Centre is a place to celebrate and share stories, make memories and undertake creative journeys. We present a dynamic program throughout the centre across a range of arts practice where the work of emerging and established artists are applauded. Opportunities and experiences are gently threaded together through the artists’ exploration of space, sense of place, belonging and their relationship to the world around them.

Belconnen Arts Centre is located at 118 Emu Bank, Belconnen and is open between 10:00am-4:00pm Tuesday-Sunday. See more on accessibility.

Hire These Spaces

Belconnen Arts Centre opened to the public on 29 August 2009, and offers a
range of creative arts activities in wonderful spaces including:

  • Stunning large Foyer suitable for major events, launches, performances and presentations
  • Dance Studio with full lighting and sound
  • Gallery and Outdoor Gallery
  • Two Creative Workshops and an Outdoor Workshop for visual arts and craft classes and workshops
  • Community access Meeting Room suitable also for training workshops, classes and presentations
  • An Arts Lounge for volunteers and friends of the centre
  • Coffee kiosk and
  • Outdoor area for celebrations and markets

    Except for regular classes and special events

    ACTION [Timetable Information] - 300 series buses to Belconnen, get off at Belconnen Community Bus Station and walk down to the Centre, or Route 45 directly to the Centre.

  • CAR:
    Enter eastern end Emu Bank from either Aikman Drive or Eastern Valley Way, from the western end off Joynton Smith Drive or directly opposite the end of Benjamin Way. See Maps for Parking here
